Funded eLearn: Understanding VET 2026

This Skills First program is a highly interactive three-part program and provides opportunities to build your network of contracted training providers and work collaboratively to extend your understanding of quality assessment practice and tools. Attendance is required at all three-parts of this program.

SEMESTER 2 DELIVERY: VET tailored session, enabling participants to investigate different types of professional development available to teams and how to support them so that they get the most out of professional development.

This workshop will draw on educational theory and VET policy to promote reflective practice and build advanced training and assessment skills.

Assessing Learners Effectively has been designed as a two-part highly interactive Blended Learning Program. These virtual sessions will draw on educational theory and VET policy to promote reflective practice and build advanced training and assessment skills.

This topic will be centred around the knowledge and skills needed to develop comprehensive Training and Assessment Strategies that have a current VET funding contract.

This topic unpacks the contractual obligations with an emphasis on Pre-Training Reviews (PTRs) and how this directly influences the training plan to support quality delivery.

SEMESTER 2 DELIVERY: This session will draw on educational theory and VET policy to promote reflective practice and build advanced training and assessment skills by applying assessment principles and strategies, and familiarisation with the elements of VET content.

Facilitator-led Community of Practice that provides professional learning, interaction and networking. Covering core and rotating thematic content that explore matters such as climate change and the impact on learners; culturally diverse community, First Nation support and teaching/learning resources; trends and understanding VET education in Victoria.

SEMESTER 2 DELIVERY: An exploration of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how to apply them in learning programs, personal practice and in context of your training organisation. Design your own lesson plan and action plan for creating change in your classroom or organisation.

This Semester 2 Numeracy session takes participants beyond the foundational content and into a deeper exploration of numeracy teaching in adult and ACFE contexts. The workshop provides extended time for discussion, analysis, and the application of advanced planning techniques that support creativity, reengagement, and higher-level numeracy skills.
