Description
Learning through practical placements in workplaces is a VET strength. It aligns with VET’s emphasis on learning by doing as a hallmark of best practice instructional design and teaching. The challenge with practical placements is to ensure they provide educationally meaningful experiences for students as well as meeting the minimum requirements which are set out in the Practical Placement Guidelines. These guidelines are to assist Registered Training Organisations (RTO) and employers to meet their obligations with respect to arranging practical placement for students.
