Key Program Components
1. Welcome Session (Held Online)
Date & Time: Thursday, 06 March, 12:30pm – 12:50pm
2. Webinar Recordings (Available on Moodle)
Each webinar is released on the first Thursday of the month, on the following dates:
- 06 March - Unconscious Bias in Classrooms
- 03 April - Busy vs Productive Behaviours
- 01 May - Addressing Dyslexia and Specific Learning Differences in the Classroom
- 05 June - AI & Assessment (VET focus)
- 03 July - Enhancing Accessibility & Inclusivity in Vocational Programs
On-Demand Viewing: Watch each recording at your convenience, self-paced in your own-time.
Designated Questions: After each webinar, you’ll complete reflective questions provided by the facilitator, available through VDC’s Moodle platform, VDC-Learn.
3. Group Mentorship Sessions (Held Online)
- Join online facilitated sessions after each designated webinar to engage in reflective mentorship and group discussions. Held the fourth Thursday of each month.
- Dates:
- 27 March
- 24 April
- 22 May
- 26 June
- 24 July
- Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm (1 hour)
- The mentorship session will discuss the questions and provide reflective mentorship and group interaction between the fellows.
4. VDC 2-Day National Teaching & Learning Conference (Held In-Person)
- Conference Attendance: Upon completion of the 5 webinar recordings, reflective questions and participation at each of the mentorship sessions, the Fellows will be invited to attend the VDC’s 2-Day VET National Teaching & Learning Conference. This would serve as the culmination of the Teaching Fellowship Program.
- Dates: 14 & 15 August
- Location: In-Person at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Theme: ‘From Competence to Excellence – Taking the Journey’
- The conference is a crucial part of completing the fellowship, where the Fellowship Certificate will be presented. The facilitator/mentor will also be in attendance, and it is anticipated that presentation of the Fellowship Certificate will take place at the conclusion of the conference (Day 2).
(Please note: Fellows are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and all related expenses.)
Continual Professional Development hours: 25 hours plus response to reflective questions following completion of each webinar recording.
Certificate of Attendance: Issued at the end of the Program for completing/attending:
- Each webinar recording.
- Completion of 5 mentorship sessions.
- VET National Teaching & Learning Conference 2025, including individual presentations/sessions attended.
- VDC 2025 Fellowship Certificate presented to each successful Fellow upon completion of all components of the VDC 2025 Fellowship Program.
Fellowship Expectations
The program requires a dedicated investment of time and effort. Fellows are expected to:
- Complete all webinar recordings and designated questions
- Attend at least 80% of the scheduled Group Mentorship Sessions to qualify for attendance at the VET National Teaching & Learning Conference.
