eLearn: Embedding Literacy in Your Teaching Practice
You will learn about how important the ACSF and VLSF are in relation to embedding literacy in your teaching practice.
Description
Welcome to Embedding Literacy in Your Teaching Practice
Strong literacy skills are the foundation of learner success—and as an educator, you play a vital role in supporting their development. This interactive eLearn will guide you through practical strategies for identifying, assessing, and embedding literacy support into your everyday teaching. Across four focused topics, you’ll explore your obligations, learn how to assess and place learners effectively, and discover ways to build their confidence and capability. With quizzes to reinforce your learning and a certificate upon completion, this course is your step toward more inclusive, impactful teaching.
In this topic, we will look closely at the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), the Digital Literacy Skills Framework (DLSF) and identify the role literacy plays in contributing to meeting the requirements of those frameworks. We investigate how adhering to these frameworks supports pre-training understanding of student literacy levels and how we can provide individualised support along with training to the recommended qualification levels they are studying.
