During this virtual workshop, Alan will cover designing competency-based training, clustering units, designing competency-based assessment, and integrated assessment.
Description
VET is a competency-based training and assessment system. It is often a fundamental requirement for TAFE teachers, trainers and assessors to have the capability or understanding about designing competency-based training and designing competency-based assessment.
This virtual workshop will cover designing competency-based training, clustering units, designing competency-based assessment, and integrated assessment.
Topics covered include:

- AQF volume of learning, nominal hours, and amount of training
- How to design competency-based training (7-step process)
- Clustering units and how it impacts the design of competency-based training
- VET regulatory requirements relating to the design of competency-based assessment
- Sequence and structure of assessment tasks
- How to design competency-based assessment (6-step process)
- Integrated assessment and how it impacts the design of competency-based assessment
