You’re invited to join Dr Melinda Waters for this interactive workshop exploring the importance of staying up-to-date with knowledge, skills and industry trends and practices for vocational educators and professionals.
Participants will learn how to identify key indicators of currency in their industry, establish criteria to assess their currency, and design a self-assessment tool to support planning for ongoing professional development. They will have opportunities to share knowledge and ideas with other VET professionals.
The workshop will cover essential topics such as the definition of industry currency, the requirements of the Standards for RTOs, methods for assessing industry currency, suitable evidence types, and ideas for professional development to enhance industry currency.
By the end of the session, attendees will have a deeper understanding of industry currency, have a methodology and tool to self-assess their industry currency, and engage in knowledge sharing with other VET professionals.
