Webinar Recording: Pre-Training Review of Learners
View this webinar to extend your confidence in designing and conducting PTR processes that are learner-centred, informative, constructive and compliant.
Description
Pre-Training Review (PTR) establishes a learner’s readiness to embark on a particular qualification. It provides a signal about the likelihood that a learner will complete, and what additional support a learner will need to achieve success. PTR is not a guesstimate but an exercise in educational diagnosis.
Together we consider how to link PTR outcomes to enrolment processes and individual learning plans.
Topics covered include:
- ASQA, VRQA and funding body rules
- When Pre-Training Review should be done
- What needs to be asked or assessed and how that might be done
Learning Outcomes
- Clarity about the requirements of the different stakeholders
- Understanding what information is needed to determine a learner’s needs in the learning/assessment context
- Strategies for determining a learner’s needs before or during enrolment
Audience
VET teachers, trainers and educators; assessors and managers
