Family Violence Program - Community of Practice: Teaching and Assessing Accredited Training in Family Violence

The focus of these community of practice opportunities is exploring the challenges and achievements of training and assessing the units in:

  • 22660VIC Course in Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk
  • 22625VIC Course in Intermediate Risk Assessment and Management of Family Violence 

It will include validation activities focussing on assessment tools and deidentified learner samples.

*Please note - there will be no recording of the session.

 Topics Covered:

  • Reflection discussions exploring the complexity of how to apply professional knowledge and skills in the delivery of specialist family violence training.
  • Reflection discussions unpacking assessment tasks and teaching activities.
  • Reflection discussion on managing student expectations in course delivery and assessment.
  • Validation of assessments.
