Virtual Workshop: Developing Competency Based Assessment Tools
This virtual workshop is a powerful tool to elevate your competency in assessment design, transforming your approach to create learner-centric, engaging, and compliant assessments.
Description
The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) provides funding to the VET Development Centre (VDC), to deliver workforce development training to improve the knowledge, skills and practice of VET teachers, trainers and assessors, and strengthen the learning environment, experience and outcomes for all VET learners. These are specific professional learning programs for the Victorian Government funded vocational education sector in priority areas, as a response to the Government’s commitment to quality training outcomes.
Developing Competency Based Assessment Tools delves deep into the intricacies of competency-based assessment, aiming to equip you with the knowledge and skills to develop practical, compliant, and engaging assessment tools. We'll help you understand what a competent learner looks like and unravel the details that a Unit of Competency reveals. The session will further highlight what a competent learner looks like, learn how to develop compliant assessment tools, and apply the Rules of Evidence and Principles of Assessment effectively. These outcomes will not only reinforce your assessment design capabilities but also empower you to create enriching learning experiences for your students.
