Interactive Virtual Workshop Masterclass: Contract Cheating – How can you tell if a student has outsourced their assessment?
Join our Interactive Virtual Workshop on identifying and preventing contract cheating, where participants will gain key insights into recognising when a student has outsourced their assessment.
Description
Join our Interactive Virtual Workshop on identifying and preventing contract cheating, where participants will gain key insights into recognising when a student has outsourced their assessment. The session will start with a recap of assessment standards, ensuring familiarity with guidelines for fair, valid, reliable, and flexible assessments. We will then delve into the TEQSA definition of contract cheating, including the use of AI, supported by real-world examples and case studies from TEQSA and ASQA websites.
The problem will be defined by discussing strategies that Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) can implement, including policies, procedures, and assessment strategies to combat cheating. Participants will learn how to raise awareness among students about the consequences of cheating, educate them on the risks, and guide them on the ethical use of AI.
The training will also cover designing assessments to prevent contract cheating, examining both formative and summative assessments, and various types of assessments used in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Finally, we will review the assessment rubric, focusing on cognitive skills such as remembering, understanding, applying, analysing, evaluating, and creating.
By the end of the Interactive Virtual Workshop, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to maintain the integrity of the assessment process.
