This course builds educators’ confidence and capability to effectively support learners with dyslexia and other specific learning differences in TAFE and adult education settings.
Participants will develop a clear understanding of how learning differences impact reading, writing and information processing, and how these challenges often co-occur with conditions such as ADHD and anxiety. The course also explores the mental health implications of unrecognised or unsupported dyslexia, including the impact on confidence, engagement and participation in learning environments.
Through a practical, strengths-based lens, educators will learn how to recognise common indicators of dyslexia in adult learners and apply inclusive teaching strategies that support all students. Evidence informed approaches such as multi-sensory teaching, flexible assessment methods and accessible curriculum design will be explored to improve engagement and learning outcome.
