Join Kevin Ekendahl for this virtual workshop discussing Effective Governance in Action.
Effective Governance in Action is a deep dive into the essential governance responsibilities and practices that underpin quality, compliance, and sustainability in Registered Training Organisations under the Standards for RTOs 2025. This extended session is designed for RTO executives, governing persons, and compliance leaders who are accountable for strategic oversight, operational integrity, and continuous improvement.
The session will explore the practical implementation of Quality Area 4: Governance, including the new and clarified expectations for leadership accountability, risk management, decision-making, and fitness and propriety of executive and governing persons. We’ll break down key concepts such as diligent oversight, evidenced decision-making, and governing person responsibilities, highlighting what these mean in day-to-day operations and in the eyes of the VET Regulator.
Participants will examine real-world scenarios and case studies that illuminate what effective governance looks like in practice, and what warning signs and risks may trigger scrutiny
