Program Details
CPD: 25+ hours
Duration: 6 months (March to August)
Cost: $580 incl. GST, payable upon registration

Certificate of Attendance: emailed out within 7 days of each mentorship session and following the Conference*
5 webinar recordings, 5 group mentoring sessions, 2 day National Conference*
1. Welcome Session (Held Online)
Date & Time: Thursday, 05 March, 12:30pm – 1:00pm
2. Webinar Recordings (Available on Moodle)
Each webinar is released on the first Thursday of the month, on the following dates:
- 05 March: Yarning Circle - Cultural Awareness
- 02 April: Inclusive Curriculum Design - Creating Learner Pathways for All
- 07 May: Teaching Students with Anxiety
- 04 June: How to use AI to develop training & assessment resources
- 02 July: Silent microphones & empty chat boxes

On-Demand Viewing: Watch each recording at your convenience, self-paced in your own-time.
Mentoring & Reflective Questions/Project: After each webinar, you’ll work through your reflective questions/project guided by the facilitator.
3. Group Mentorship Sessions (Held Online)
- Join online facilitated sessions after each designated webinar to engage in reflective mentorship, support and group discussions. Held the fourth Thursday of each month.
- Dates:
- 26 March
- 30 April
- 28 May
- 24 June
- 30 July
- Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm (1 hour). All times are in AEDT/AEST.
- The mentorship session will discuss the webinar recordings and provide mentorship, guidance on individual work-related reflective questions/projects, and group interaction between the fellows.
4. VDC 2-Day National Teaching & Learning Conference (Held In-Person)
- Conference Attendance: Upon completion of the 5 webinar recordings, reflective questions/project and participation at each of the mentorship sessions, the Fellows will be invited to attend the VDC’s 2-Day VET National Teaching & Learning Conference. This would serve as the culmination of the Teaching Fellowship Program.
- Dates: 13 & 14 August
- Location: In-Person at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Theme: To be announced
- The conference is a crucial part of completing the fellowship, where the Fellowship Certificate will be presented. The facilitator/mentor will also be in attendance, and it is anticipated that presentation of the Fellowship Certificate will take place on Day 2 of the conference.
(Please note: Fellows are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and all related expenses.)
Continual Professional Development hours: 25 hours plus reflective questions/project work following completion of each webinar recording.
Fellowship Expectations
The program requires a dedicated investment of time and effort. Fellows are expected to:
- Complete all webinar recordings and designated questions/project work
- *Attend at least 80% of the scheduled Group Mentorship Sessions to qualify for attendance at the VET National Teaching & Learning Conference.
